The Reality
In order to understand the reality, we must first at least have the basic understanding of quantum physics.
What is Quantum Physics?
Quantum physics is the studies of the basic building block of the universe; to be more precise, it is the science that studies the tiny little thing known as quanta.
'The Secret' movie that hit the world back in 2006 has done a pretty good job in explaining the reality with quantum physics. In the movie, it is suggested that reality is not 'really' out there; it is somehow the way the mind see things that constantly shapes the world, along with the workings of the law of attraction- the force that governs the whole universe. Everything that exists in this world vibrates, and through the vibration (frequency) things that alike come together.
The physical world that you experience right now is always in-aligned with what you have in mind. It is the exact print out of your mind. Everything and person that you encounter are first created in your mind through the working of your imagination faculty. You imprint it first on your mind.
Quantum Physics
Now back to quantum physics. Quantum physics has discovered that everything in this universe is made up of atoms and atoms in turn are made up of sub-atomic particles, which also known as quanta. These sub-atomic particles are nothing but concentration of energy. Note that sub-atomic is not made up of energy, they are energy.
It has become clear that everything in this universe is made up of energy. So when we step into the world of quantum, we could only see big chunks of energy floating around here and there. The only difference is the information that held by each chunk of energy, thus causing each thing to vibrate at a different frequency.
Quanta (plural for quantum) are packets of subatomic energy that grouped together and one of the weird but interesting facts about quanta is its dualistic nature; they are waves and particles, mass and non-mass, matter and non-matter, all at the same space and time. Nevertheless, everything is interconnected.
Physical and Quantum World
The dualistic nature of quanta makes it possible that it only appears when being observed or stands out when you look at it. The act of observation brings it into life from emptiness into form. I know this is weird but do you aware that the space that you are living now is not quite empty as it appears.
If you can see through a quantum lenses, you will notice that it is almost completely filled up with waves and energy, which your senses fail to detect. Quanta are literally there and not there both at the same time. Quanta are waves and particles all at the same space and time and your observation somehow determined what it already is.
An observer must exist in order for quanta to become matter because human consciousness (mind) has the power to collapse the pure potential (quanta) into matter. Theoretically, your consciousness is the place or moment where you and the quantum world meet. You step into the quantum world with your consciousness because the mind is always in tune with the energy side of quanta (the mind is at the border for both world).
Eastern mysticism has said that the physical world is a pure illusion and to be free, one must know the truth. Eastern mysticism is quite right on this because the actual world is really the quantum (energy) world.
You see the reality as real because your brain that functions as a 'high speed quantum machine' creates your world through your five basic senses and interprets it much like a hologram where you can navigate in the 3-Dimensional effect. While your brain continues to keep you in the 3D world, your mind is always in contact with the quantum world, simultaneously. Well, that is exactly the working of your subconscious mind power, you can manipulate things that happen within your mind and have it manifested in the real world (or better term, "the illusioned plane").
In other words, you are stepping into two worlds at the same time; the physical and the energy or quantum world that always synchronizes with each other. And to be aware of living in two worlds all the time is enlightenment. You break yourself free from illusion!

Changing The Reality
Now, can the mind change or influence the arrangement of quanta before it is collapsed into physical form?
The answer is yes. Physical world is always the effect that you get out of what happens in the energy world, the cause. Change the cause and you change the effect. Change your observation (change your mind) and you change your world. Your mind communicates directly with quanta and the quanta responds precisely and entirely without reluctance or delay to the instructions of your mind.
Observation is the key to defining the wave-particle as a single entity and consciousness alone is responsible for the collapses of the wave-particle. As unbelievable as it might sound, without consciousness, everything would exist only as undefined, potential packets of energy or pure potential. The more consciousness you have the more potential you have to create.
Spiritual Teachers have always said that the world that we live in is just merely an illusion and now science has proven that with the studies of quantum physics. Knowing the truth will set you free.

Now it is even clear that things do not just happen accidentally. Everything that happens in your life must bear a reason behind it and the reason is always found within; as within, as without. It is our own thought that create the reality that we are experiencing right now. Note that 'are having' because they change as you change your mind. There is no coincidence and there is also no miracle and if they are any, you are the source of the coincidence and miracles. You attract thing with your thoughts.

Let me explain - Actually, opposites attract such as in a magnet. What makes it appear that like attracts like is "the illusion" you speak of.
To explain this lets look at an example - say in a football team the players all love the game, then we have the game itself. The game is like the North pole of a magnet and the players themselves are the south pole. It is not so much that "like attracts like" bringing the players together - the answer is in quantum physics. "The game attracts the players."
One is a thought (the game), the other is the action (the players)..... You see.... at the quantum level there is the spirit (energy) that unites with thought (consciousness) and the two join together to manifest a new reality. That is like a triangle pointing down.
On the physical plane we have atoms and molecules joining together manifesting an object in this dimensional world we call reality. That is like the triangle pointing up.
Put the two triangles together and voila - you have the star of David.
The star of David is a mystical symbol of the two types of manifestation. One the material plane (point up), the other the cosmic or spiritual plane (point down).
Bring them together through the power within yourself and you then co-create. How? ... Quantum physics!
Quantum physics is not a new science, rather it is just old mysticism taught under a new title.
You are 100% correct on the vibration point. Both material and spiritual manifestations are vibrations on different frequencies. The positive charge and the negative ground, or the North and South Poles in a magnet

You are right, opposite attracts to each other (the concept of polarity). But the things that make them to get together is not other than the vibration. It's like male and female (yin and yang- opposite thing/sex) but what attracts them to each other is the unseen thing.
I agree with you neil, quantum physics is not new, it's substitue ancient mysticsm but the difference it quantum physics is a science and it can explain the theory behind it; but not mysticism.

You said exactly the same thing I did - in my explanation the unseen thing is the triangle pointing down - truth is, the unseen also is dual in polarity. It must be so!
Mystics who study the lessons handed down from the sages and mystical masters also learned the science behind the system. Only thing different is the language used to say the same thing. One such organization is AMORC. If you are interested, do a search for AMORC and learn more.
We say/think the same way...... only difference is you may not yet know that the unseen is dual in nature!

Excellent Hub, one of my favorites yet. I'm not fully convinced though, I will remain partially skeptical so I don't get lazy.
It would be very nice to fully believe what you’re saying but what really puzzles my understanding of Quantum Physics and all the findings of experiments such as the infamous “double slit” & “the cat in the box” is the fact that we know all that we know but we still fail to archive instant manifestation and we cant still even move a spec of dust across the table.
Furthermore you said “Note that sub-atomic is not made up of energy, they are energy.” I would like to also believe this statement but think about this, it has been proven scientifically that thought is the most potent form of energy and that sub conscious thoughts are the equivalence of sub atomic particles but why is that even under a deep meditative state, it still seems impossible to instantly manifest????

I think that all the talk of quantum physics and universal energy is a way of adding a hip new age mysticism into something that could be called common sense. You focus on a goal you can achieve it. You control your perception of reality. You are the one who gives meaning to it. Scientists are really the new magi, locked away in dungeons, coming up with wild theories.
I couldn't read more than the first few paragraphs. There is absolutely no change to the law of charged particles at the quantum level. Quarks, not quanta are the tiniest particles you are referring to. Quanta are packets of photons. A quantum is a single packet of photons.
Quarks are the parts that make up a proton. A proton has three quarks. The proton has an overall charge which is the sum of the three quarks in it. The up-type quarks are charged +2/3 and the down-type quarks have -1/3. This gives the proton a positive charge of +1. Antiquarks are the opposite. The strong nuclear force is the force that holds the proton together (thanks wikipedia).
Look folks, if you want to believe what this writer says, go ahead. But please understand that he does not understand physics, is not really talking about physics, and if you learn scientific terms from him, you will be learning it incorrectly as I've shown above in regards to quantum packets, photons, protons and quarks.
Metaphysics is what we now call science. It evolved from science. Scientists are not metaphysisists anymore since scientific method was developed a few hundred years ago.
So I'm not sure what the people marketing this book are really doing. Are they borrowing terms from science to make a metaphor or do they mean what they say literally? If literal, then they are dead wrong. Opposites attract is the law at quantum level. If they are being poetic and using a metaphor, it is very very poorly done. They clearly didn't understand the physics behind their metaphor.
Buy the book, by all means, but wiki a few of the terms above: quantum, proton, photon, quark before you do.

Great and valuable information. Also the perfect reminder we can "shape our reality," especially when working to create something better for ourselves.
Quantum Physics has discovered that life and everything we perceive is the product of an ever flowing energy that continuously creates and annihilates. It's what Eastern Mystics have understood all along. Science continues on its path to try and analyse this reality and apply conclusive mathematical formulations. One day we might realise that we are not independent of the truth but simply part it.

It is tantalising to expect we can create our reality, in whatever manner we please.
Unfortunately, the film "the Secret" and statements like "it's all just an illusion" leave out an inconvenient truth -- we live within a self-organising 'holodynamic' reality, so if you want to have that nice new motor car, where exactly is it coming from?
At this stage of our development a new car will still be physically manufactured, by people (or by robots programmed by people). So, to get what we want, we must enlist the help of other people giving us their time and energy.
That leads us to one of two options -- either I get what I want by assuming others will work for me (a la competitive, hierarchical win-lose society), or we creatively add to the mix, sufficient for each of us to get what we want without taking (time, energy) from others.
As a general rule, the necessity of each of us being creative (not competitive) is ignored.
I don't think it is helpful to allude to "motor cars popping out of thin air" without recognising the cooperative infrastructure that delivers said material things (such as cars).
So if we're really going to create a better reality, in a holodynamic reality that also means helping other create a better reality. Which means moving beyond the highly competitive world dynamic to a more cooperative one.
Unless of course you simply skip that phase, and "pop" a new motor car into reality, all by yourself.
Only question: what happens when you want to register the vehicle? Its history gets written then, presumably, along with the assembly line codes (DIN numbers, and engine serial numbers).
And the history of the people working in the factory.
So ... that means you're seeking to create a reality in which other people are, in effect, your slaves.
Nice one. Not.
Back to the holodynamic model/dynamic in which the present combative, competitive world really is a mirror of our own failure to create a more cooperative world-dynamic.
"It takes a village to raise a child" ought to include "it takes a village to make a car".
